These Terms govern your use of LookupHSCodes.com (the “Service”), operated by Retang LLC (“Retang”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

LookupHSCodes.com provides AI-assisted Harmonized System (HS) tariff code classification, lookup, and bulk processing tools. Subscription tiers and quotas are described on our pricing page.

2. Eligibility & account

You must be of legal age and, if signing up on behalf of a business, have authority to bind it. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account, and you must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

3. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the Service, including by:

• using it unlawfully or for fraud, spam, or IP infringement;
• interfering with security (malware, probing, scraping, circumventing rate limits);
• reverse engineering, reselling, or redistributing the Service;
• using outputs as a substitute for regulated customs, legal, or tax advice without qualified human review.

4. AI-generated classifications

Classifications are produced by AI models and may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for your inputs, for verifying outputs before relying on them, and for ensuring you have rights to any product data you submit. We may filter, moderate, or refuse outputs.

5. Intellectual property

We retain all rights in the Service, including software, models, documentation, and branding. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service within your plan. You retain ownership of content you submit and grant us a limited license to host and process it solely to provide the Service.

6. Payments, billing, refunds and taxes

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment terms, billing frequency, renewals, cancellations, taxes and refunds are governed by the Paddle Buyer Terms and our Refund Policy.

7. Service level

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and disclaim all implied warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated policy violations. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; we may retain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes and will otherwise delete it within a reasonable period.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages (loss of profits, data, or goodwill). Nothing limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where prohibited.

10. Indemnity

You will indemnify us against claims arising from your content, unlawful use of the Service, or breach of these Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, where Retang LLC is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be heard by the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
