How is U.S. import duty calculated?
Duty is the declared customs value multiplied by the ad valorem rate for the product's HTS code. Section 301 tariffs, anti-dumping duties, MPF (0.3464%, min $32.71 / max $634.62), and HMF (0.125% on ocean freight) are added on top.
